Tart Cherry Concentrate.

Not getting enough good quality sleep?  Tart Cherry Concentrate may be just what you are looking for.

asleep at work

Produced from Montmorency Tart Cherries, which have significant levels of natural melatonin, necessary to support regular and restful sleep in babies, children and adults, this pack, available from the Natural Sleep Shop contains 14 x 30ml single serve sachets of Tart Cherry Concentrate – perfect for travel and convenience.

Ingredients: 100% Montmorency Tart Cherry Juice concentrate.

Benefits:  Melatonin is a powerful antioxidant which helps to regulate circadian rhythms and sleep.  The body’s ability to produce melatonin (sleep hormone) is reduced by mood fluctuations, stress, anxiety, lack of sun, overseas travel. May support weight loss through better sleep. Contains potent anthocyanins that help to support the immune system.  A natural source of anthocyanins antioxidants and melatonin.

I was lucky enough to get to trial some Tart Cherry Concentrate, from the Natural Sleep Shop.  I suffer from insomnia myself, but I actually trialled this on my 6 year old son, as he has always had trouble sleeping.  We do not have many nights where he sleeps through and he takes a long time to fall asleep at bedtime.  He wakes a few times each night, for a drink of water, or at times just sits up looking around, and on really bad nights wants to get up! – and this begins to affect everyone, as he also wakes my fiance and I up (if I get any sleep myself!).

When I received the sachets of Tart Cherry Concentrate I was very hopeful, as any parent who has a sleepless child would be.  The concentrate on it’s own has a real tang, the dosage for my son was 10ml before bed.  So I would add about 5ml of water to the concentrate, so it wasn’t so thick, and the little trooper would knock it back, and make the funniest ‘sucking on a lemon’ face.  But he took it, every night without fail.  After about a week, I noticed that he was drifting off to sleep more quickly, and that he was MUCH less wakeful at night.

During the second week, I forgot to give it to him before bed two nights in a row, and suddenly noticed a huge difference. We were back to ‘nights from hell’.  But I continued on till I ran out of the Cherry Juice, and by this point, nights were no longer a huge problem for my son.  And it seems that just one course of the cherry juice was all it took to re-train his body into a better sleeping routine, as I continue not too have to many issues with him sleeping, or getting him to sleep.  We still do have the odd bad night here and there, but I sincerely believe that the Cherry Juice had a huge, positive impact on his sleep, and I can’t wait to try a course for myself!

The other factor that I love is that this is a NATURAL treatment for sleeplessness – no nasty chemicals, medicines, or side-effects to worry about.  It really is worth a try if you, or a loved one is struggling with sleep.

  1. Anita Marija Erceg says:

it is me who is most in need of a good nights sleep – nothing quite so depressing as lying there awake listening to your kids snore and wishing it was you.

  2. Kirsten Allen says:

I would love to win this, I am such a light sleeper!!!

  3. Sheree Brown says:

I need to try this but not sure if I can being 34 weeks pregnant!!

    • Ceara says:

Hi Sheree, as far as I know it is safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but I would check with your midwife, or GP if you are unsure. Good luck!

  4. Kim says:

Definitely me! I try to get 7hrs sleep a night but seldom find I can. Even when sleep gods are all aligned, kids sleeping soundly and husband’s snoring at minimum, I lie there trying desperately to sleep and it getting worse every time I look at clock and realise what sleep maximum I have left by then!

  5. Nardia Cooper says:

I would love to try this out as I am starting a new job soon and really want to regulate my sleep better so I am fresh and ready to learn.

  6. Leslie Whitehead says:

I’ve been on this for just over a week I take 2 capsules at night and it’s the best sleep Ive had for years.

  7. Kimberley Perkins says:

My 14 month old would benefit so so much from this. She will not fall asleep on her own, needing to have a bottle or be in the car to fall asleep! And is wakeful throughout the night. She used to be a great night sleeper so hopefully this product would help get her back onto a good sleep pattern. If I’m not lucky enough to win some I’m definitely going to start saving to buy some 🙂

  8. Daina says:

I would love to try this on me – my 3 kids are great sleepers and it is most often me tossing & turning struggling to get to sleep at night.

  9. Kelsey Feisst says:

My partner suffers from sleep deprivation . Some nights he may only get 2-3 hours sleep. I would love for him to try this Tart Cherry juice, he is willing to try supplements to sleep but doesn’t want to be put on sleeping pills and rely on them all the time which is fair enough. When he has had a good nights sleep he is full of energy and ready to do things in the day with our daughter and me and I would love him to be like this all the time!

  10. Theresa te whaiti says:

I am afraid it would be me, am shocking when it comes to sleep. Find it hard to switch off and relax as mind ticks away being a busy working mum

  11. Kim O says:

My 9 year old son and husband (sometimes me) would benefit most from this. My son goes to be at 7pm and reads until 7:30pm he is then awake until around 9pm or later. we have tried bathing, massage, relaxation music, reading to him, getting him to write down his thoughts which are keeping him awake all to no avail. The relaxation music has worked sometimes but often keeps his sister in the next room awake! I have also used rescue remedy sleep but again no great success. My husband so needs a good night sleep and I think this would help him to get sleepy earlier and therefore asleep so he gets his required 7-8 hours sleep.

  12. Clare Lund says:

I really need this, falling to sleep and staying asleep all night is a struggle, my 2 year old son could also use this, he doesnt sleep through the night either. Would love to give this a go!

  13. Aimee Brock says:

My seven year old is going through that stage of worrying about too many things at night, and keeping herself awake. I would love to see if this could help her rest and fall asleep more easily.

  14. Holly says:

It would be for my two and a half year old who has had insomnia since he was about 14 months. He will be awake for around four hours at least two nights a week, sometimes most nights.

  15. nanni ppop says:

I would like to try this for myself as I have been a sufferer of insomnia for a number of years now and have at this point resisted any offers of sleeping pills from the doctor

  16. Salena Atchison says:

i would love to win this to try on hubby, he is so stressed with work and family life, he doesnt sleep well and this makes him grumpy, i think he deserves a good nights sleep

  17. Justine Riwai says:

Me!!! I work nightshift and with 5 kids to tend to during the day im lucky to get 4-5 hours due to being a light sleeper.

  18. Emma Kaye says:

Meeeee please. I am currently pregnant and I wake up to pee at night and that is it … I am up … hence surfing the web at this hour, been up since 1:40am this morning which is typical … Can’t wait for my 5, 3 and 1 year olds to wake up and the day begins again!
